 Hope you all had a good season and have carried out all your laying up work and ordered any parts you will need for next season. Unfortunately my wife has to have a hip replacement and cannot cope with the headroom on the MK1 Crabber, so reluctantly I have sold her. She will be around Poole next season.

I will carry on to run the web site, unless anyone wishes to take it over.

I have added to the Surveyors page and updated the for sale page, please let me know if you sell your boat so that I can remove your Ad.

Hello everyone

This is the first newsletter from www.cornishcrabbers.org.

The site was launched on February 25th 2005 and in the first month received over 700 hits, it now stands at over 6500. Thanks to input from the owners of various boats and the Dutch Crabbers Owners Association, the "Photos" page has filled up quickly. The "For sale" page has also been updated regularly. I have had messages from Crabber owners in the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, France, Germany and Italy.

I contacted "Select Yachts" about the web site and hope to meet with them to discuss the site on my next visit to Cornwall. I have been in contact with Roger Dongray and also Ingram Murray [former secretary CCOA] and volunteered to take over as secretary to the "Cornish Crabbers Owners Association" to try to get the association up and running again, I know that some of you were former members and would like to see its revival.  I have added a newsletter opt in form on the "Join" page so that people can register their contact details more easily. I add various things to the site as suggested or requested by other owners, so please let me know what you would like to see.

I have also been in touch with various boating related companies, eg: Charterers, Storage facillities, Insurers and Surveyors, to try to generate some advertising revenue to pay for the site hosting etc, I will also endeavour to obtain discount for owners from these companies, at the moment the site is sponsored by, www.mainmarine.co.uk  and www.trailersailer.co.uk  two web sites that I own and operate.
